Call of Duty 3 is also the only Call of Duty game not to be released on either the PC or the Mac, with all of its releases being limited to consoles: the PlayStations 2 and 3, the first Xbox and the Xbox 360, and even the Wii. Like its predecessor, Call of Duty 3 is still playable on the Xbox One today thanks to backward compatibility. With each Call of Duty after Black Ops, the games, weapons, and maps became more and more futuristic. This is one of the elements that divided gamers as there is a fine line between having cool attachments for weapons and making something completely ridiculous. In this guide, we’ve provided overviews on every game in the Call of Duty sereies. C all of Duty is a first-person shooter video game, available on multiple platforms, with the first game released way back in 2003. Since the release of its first game, this franchise has released several other games with coordinating sequels to each game. In this world, there are few constants. One of them is that every year Activision will be calling us once again for some kind of duty. Since blasting onto desktops in 2003, Call of Duty has defined. Call of Duty Mobile (also known as Legends of War) is the first installment of the 'Call of Duty' saga that attempts to transfer the PC and game console gaming experience to Android smartphones. In other words, just like Modern Warfare or Black Ops, this is a multiplayer FPS in every sense of the word.
Call of Duty. A game where violence is rewarded. Where calling someone a “noob” is just as common as giving that awkward smile and nod when you walk past a random stranger.
But what is the best game to scream “MUM, GET THE CAMERA!!!!”?
Plant your claymores and sit tight in the corner you camping noobs, as I shall take you through my personal tier list of all Call Of Duty games from the very first one to Modern Warfare on a scale of “Garbage” to “Fire”.
Just remember, this is a personal opinion; your tier list make look very different, and that's okay!
NEVER PLAYED
COD I, COD II & COD III
Okay, so I am going to be honest, I have never played the first three CoD games, simply because I was a huge lover of Medal of Honor in the PS2 days so playing Call of Duty back then was like changing your football allegiance from Arsenal to Tottenham.
GARBAGE
Call of Duty: Ghosts
An easily forgettable game which I only played once and it made me so mad that I never played it again. In all honesty, I don’t remember it that well, but judging from the poor reviews it had at the time, this game has only one place and that is in the biggest landfill that you can find.
Call of Duty: WWII
Do you remember where you were when Activision released the trailer for this? Remember the excitement we had for this game? Well it was just the most boring CoD that I can remember. The concept was there, if it was executed properly it could easily be in the “Fire” section, but the boring maps and lack of any fast-paced gameplay has put this down into the bottom of the skip.
Move files from computer to android. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
Like Ghosts from a personal standpoint. The game reviewers hated it, as did the hardcore fans. I played it with one of my friends at my time at university, and I just remember how bad it was in comparison to Black Ops III and IV. Although not as bad as WWII or Ghosts, I would still chuck this in the bin.
BAD
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
This game is as forgettable as Ghosts, but unlike Ghosts, I didn’t rage after one game. A lot could have been improved. The one thing going in this game’s favour is the maps, which were actually quite good in my honest opinion.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Never really enjoyed the game. It never fulfilled the same levels as the original Black Ops (again in my honest opinion, don’t hate me). It was the first game to be based in the future and although exciting at first, the gimmick quickly wore off. It had some cracking maps which have been used in recent games, but for me, that’s all it has got.
ALRIGHT
Call of Duty: World at War
Now this is controversial. The first game to incorporate the very popular Zombies mode and had really cool kill streaks such as attack dogs, but the maps… they were average at best. The gameplay was not as good as Modern Warfare I, however, it was a laugh. Sadly, over time it is not held in high regard in comparison to the other older CoD games.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
It was not a terrible game, but equally it was not a great game. Part of which was down to the quality of the maps not living up to the same quality as the maps on Modern Warfare 2. Infection was a great game mode when you got bored of the very average maps, but on the whole it was disappointing in comparison to Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
Lots of fun and energy. Great maps. So why is it only an alright game? I hated the wall running and boost jumping. You would be minding your own business, building your way to use your specialist weapon, then suddenly, someone parkours out of nowhere and peppers your head. My friend was that weirdo where he would call a 45-2 kill-death game an average game. Many a backpack was used by multiple players in this game.
GOOD
Call of Duty: Black Ops IV
An improved version of Black Ops III. Simply by removing the gimmicky jump boosting and wall running. The principles are the same as the previous Black Ops, but with even better maps. Basically, less back packs were required. Great memories, more like this please!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Latest version of ms excel.
I mean the saving grace for this game is Warzone. A much cleaner Battle Royale game in comparison to Fortnite, but if the original multiplayer had some bigger maps then this would be fire. Sadly the tiny maps and the lack of variety in maps has cost this a spot in the top tier. I do love the massive domination and team deathmatch games as well!
FIRE
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I feel sorry for the 13 year olds of today. They didn’t get to experience One Man Army, Grenade Launchers and the incredible feeling that is getting your first nuke. Was this game broken? Yes. Were the maps any good? Nearly all of them were class. What about the kill streaks? Harriers, Chopper Gunner, Nuke. What a horrible broken kill streak lineup which was always super effective. ACR was a god tier gun, as was the UMP and Intervention. The fact I can remember the guns says a lot about this game. PLEASE GET THE MULTIPLAYER REMASTERED! But no commando perk please. That was painful.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
The game that truly started console warfare online. Iconic maps which have not been matched since. Although kill streaks were limited to just UAV, Airstrike and Attack Chopper, the feeling when you get a 10 kill streak was something which made you feel like a god and everyone in the lobby should bow down to your clear supremacy. The downside to this game was that hackers were quite frequent when Modern Warfare 2 was released (I personally was a victim of this several times) and because of that, you could never truly experience what was a masterclass.
Call of Duty: Black Ops
My personal favourite Call Of Duty. Tomahawks across the map at the start of a match. Nuketown, Firing Range and Summit. EXPLODING RC CARS! So many great and broken guns. Gun Game was introduced. Last, but not least, the best version of the Zombies game mode. THEY DON’T MAKE THEM LIKE THESE ANYMORE!
